Her diverse roles have focused on collaborating with governments and the private sector to establish productive societies through the utilization of technology, with a specific emphasis on sectors such as health, agriculture, financial services and education.
Things I Tell My Daughter
Despite all her achievements across Africa, Mwamvita Makamba counts motherhood as her biggest achievement to date. Mwamvita describes being a mother to her 17-year-old daughter as her true north star and her reason for being.
Throughout her career and business travels across Africa, Mwamvita found herself spending long periods of time away from her daughter. While it’s easier to stay in touch these days and have a strong support system as a working mother, Mwamvita often found herself wondering whether she was missing out on key moments in her daughter's life. The time apart led her to writing notes to her daughter which she decided to publish as a book in 2020.
